Collin Anglin

Collin Anglin

Collin was the 2010 Young Caymanian Leadership Award recipient and is also employed as the Director of Sports with the Cayman Islands Department of Sports. He has also worked as a tutor for inner city children in Wilmington, North Carolina.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Sports Management from Florida International University with honors (Magna Cum Laude). He has also received certifications for F.I.B.A. Level 1 Basketball Coaching, and the Caribbean Community Coaching Program.

Collin was the chairman of C.I. Basketball Association Competitions Committee for over 10 years, where he was responsible for organizing over 200 games per year via various basketball leagues for children and adults. He is also a board member of the YMCA of the Cayman Islands, The Young Caymanian Leadership Foundation and the 1000 Man March Outreach.

He also coaches at least one youth and one women’s team every year and has been a volunteer coach since the age of 16. He has represented the Cayman Islands in Basketball for over 16 years, was the captain of the National Men’s Basketball team from 2003-2009 and currently holds the national record for most points scored in a single game (64). He is a 3-time silver medalist at the Natwest Island Games.

His objective is to positively impact the lives of persons and communities through engaging in sporting activities, and to inspire Cayman’s youth, to reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives.
